Flux is an interactive compact and realistic interactive roller and maintenance free. The response of the roller is immediate the smart electronics together with the 7 kg flywheel transmit the variations of effort, even the thinnest, directly to your legs.

Among all Tacx rollers, Flux has the heaviest flywheel, with a perceptible effect of up to 23 kg. The higher the inertia of the flywheel, the more realistic the experience of pedaling will be. Use the Ant+ and Bluetooth® Smart language to communicate and can be connected wireless to smartphones and tablets. The Ant+ and FE-C protocol allows you to train with the Tacx app but also with third-party apps such as Zwift and Trainerroad. You can use the roller even without any connection, if you do not connect it to anything it will simulate a flat path.

Connection to the PC
Do you have a Flux Smart and are you trying to get everything that the Tacx apps can give you? You can get this by connecting the trainer to your computer. In this way you can train with the Tacx Trainer 4 Advanced software. Unlike your tablet or smartphone, you can use your computer to adjust the resistance and see the data on performance. For example, the PC software offers longer videos and in HD or Blu-ray resolution. While pedals, the resistance to your rear wheel is automatically adjusted when the slope increases or decreases.
To connect the Flux Smart to your Windows PC you need the Upgrade Smart, this package contains the 4 Advanced software trainer, a controller to be mounted on the handlebar and the Ant+antenna.

Electromagnetic brake
The Flux Smart roller works with an electronic brake. Positioning magnets and electromagnets around an aluminum disc in rotation are generated by Focult currents and these generate an opposite magnetic field. In this way, a contact-less brake is made and without the need for maintenance, which is also extremely silent. Thanks to the electronic brake, adequate resistance can be set to simulate both the road in the plain and the mountain.

Virtual speed
When you are pedaling in a virtual reality or in a film you risk overcoming the performance for which the electronic brake is thought. To allow cyclists who use rollers equipped with electronic resistance to confront rivals equipped with electrical brake in multiplayer challenges, Tacx has developed virtual speed. This functionality translates further energy request into speed, so as to guarantee an equal comparison. If this speed differs from the one actually turns the rear wheel, it is shown in red on the screen.

Software and apps
You can connect the Smart Trainer Tacx to your smartphone, tablet or computer with Ant+ or Bluetooth Smart to use our software and apps, or that of others. You can also use it independently, without connecting the trainer to any device. This means that you are completely free to choose the software you prefer to use for your indoor workouts.
With our software and apps you can adjust your workout based on cardiac frequency, slope and power, or you can choose a famous race route. In addition, you can also compete online with other cyclists. Trainer options vary according to the application used.

Compatible pigns cassette
The Flux has a universal Multisys Edco Multisys compatible with all Shimano and Sram cassettes, and most of the countryside cakes. The compatibility or otherwise of the latter depends on the number of carbells of the box. The cassettes with 8 carvings unfortunately cannot be mounted.
